April 17, 2024 Maumee Valley Herb Society Monthly Meeting

Amy Pollman-Hoehner of Five Point Makery will be speaking about microgreens at Maumee Valley Herb Society‘s April meeting on Wednesday the 17th at the Toledo Botanical Garden.

The meeting runs from 9:30 – noon but Amy’s program begins at 11. The event is free and open to the public.

MVHS will be having their annual Christmas Potluck at Toledo Botanical Garden in the Conference Center.

Members and guests are asked to bring a dish to pass; appetizer, salad, vegetable or dessert.

Meat and beverages will be provided, along with table service.

Heralding the Holidays Workshop

Join us as we prepare for our big sales event, Heralding the Holidays. We will be pricing, labeling, packaging craft and food items to be sold at Heralding the Holidays.

September 15, 2021 monthly meeting

Join us at 9:30 a.m. for herbal refreshments, followed by our monthly business meeting from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. in the Conference Center at Toledo Botanical Garden on Elmer Drive.

At 11:00 a.m. one of our members will be doing a demonstration on making pesto, just in time for all that basil and other herbs we are harvesting.

Our meetings are free and open to the public.

August 18, 2021 MVHS monthly meeting

We will be meeting this month in the Conference Center at Toledo Botanical Garden on Wednesday, August 18 from 9:30 a.m. until noon.

9:30 – 10:00 a.m. refreshments and social time

10:00 – 10:45 a.m. monthly business meeting

11:00 a.m. Our program this month will be presented by MVHS member, Eileen Hoffman. Eileen will be demonstrating a unique way to make herbal and floral greeting cards using dried botanicals. This demonstration will include handouts and you will be able to go home and recreate these lovely cards on your own.

Meetings are open to the public.

June 16, 2021 Bus Trip

MVHS will be car pooling to heavenly Scent herb Farm in Fenton, Michigan where we will tour the lovely gardens there and can browse and shop in the gift shop. Lunch from Panera’s will be served on the patio, along with ice tea and scented geranium cake.

We will then head back to Milan where we will visit Lavender Lane and their gift shop filled with homemade lavender bath and beauty products.
